I've been wanting to try an ombré for the longest time, but have been worried about messing up! But that's what polish remover is for, so I gathered my supplies and just went for it!
I recently got 3 of the Deborah Lippmann mermaid polishes, and a bag of cosmetic sponges from the dollar store, so I was ready to go.
I started with one coat of the purple (Do the Mermaid), then sponged on the colors starting with the purple, then the blue (Mermaid's Eyes), then the orange (Million Dollar Mermaid). It went well!! I was very surprised at how easy it was and how gorgeous it turned out!
I've been staring at my nails all week, and even though I've been posting only past manis so far, I just couldn't wait to show this to you! I even got a pic for you in the sun! Hope you like it, and if you've been afraid to try an ombré mani, just go for it! It will probably turn out better than you expect :)
