Happy almost end of the year! We made it! 2015 is nearly over and I am grateful. A lot has happened, both good and bad for me this year, which is a nice change from the chaos I knew before. Hoping 2016 is the best year ever!
Today I have for you one of my random everything but the kitchen sink style manis. I just don't know when to stop. But that's the beauty of nails, you can change them so quickly and express yourself however you please!
First I have this gorgeous rich hazelnut polish from, you guessed it, Octopus Party Nail Lacquer. I really should just sign my paycheck over to Dave, he's a master craftsman and I cannot resist his polishes!! This polish was part of the Fall collection, it is called Will You Bury Me? Perfect for this time of year!
I added it as an accent to Different Dimension's contribution to the November Holo Hookup Box, I Wish I Was A Little Bit Taller, a stunning royal purple holo! Confession: I totally have that Skee-Lo song on my iPod! Takes me back to those carefree adolescent years. And of course I put some random hearts and stars in there.
Octopus Party Nail Lacquer is the best and you should just give Dave all your money NOW!! But for reals, there are 4 Winter duos coming out this Saturday, 12/26 at noon EDT (or EST? I dk I live in Arizona), and you will want to scoop them up here!
The Holo Hookup Box is a new monthly box from some awesome indie brands, you can purchase it here, and Different Dimension polishes can be purchased here.
Happy Friday! Yes, I know I am posting about once a month now, but for good reasons! So much in my life is going fantastic and I have found that has been keeping me super busy. I am going to make an effort to blog more, even when I don't do elaborate art.
Anyhow, today I have a super cute mani to show you! One of my favorite brands and a new to me indie!
Azature is known for having a black diamond in every bottle of polish, and it shows! Their polishes are super sparkly and they are currently having their birthday sale, during which some polishes are just $6!!! Such a great deal! The polish featured today is Sky Diamond, a luscious light blue with darker blue sparkles, the perfect canvas for an ocean mani!
Ellagee is a new to me indie, and this gorgeous polish is filled with DOLPHIN shaped glitters!!!! Called Aquatic Acrobatics, I had to have it the second I saw it on instagram. The polish features multicolored circle glitters as well in a blue jelly base. I did not have to do much fishing to get a great payoff of dolphin glitters! And, the polish comes with a super cute dolphin ring!!!

Hey everyone! I have something super exciting for you today!! Spoiler alert: it's glitter! Of course it's glitter, I can never get enough!
I am lucky enough to be working with Holochondriac Polish (which is a rebrand of Liquid Afterglow Lacquer) and I am happy to share the beauty as well as the message with you today. Holochondriac Polish has a purpose behind the polish - a very serious one. We all know life isn't always sparkles and glitter. We go through the ups and downs of life, some of us with extra challenges like mental illness. Mental illness has effected me and my family, and I was so pleased that Holochondriac is bringing more awareness to this issue with gorgeous polishes! In fact, her first collection is centered around awareness, with a different colored polish for each affliction's representative color. A portion of the proceeds goes to charity.
I don't have my hands on the new collection yet, BUT I have two gorgeous toppers to show you today! The first is Sparkle Sauce, a stunning multicolored glitter topper, two coats easily distracted and entertained me as I watching the glitter shine from every angle.
The other topper, Mania, is an incredible glitter bomb full of pastel purple, pink, green and blue circle glitters, as well as royal purple microglitter! If you haven't noticed by now, I am a purple lover! This topper is one from my dreams! Two coats over a lilac base did the trick. As much as I hated to cover it up, I did want to give you some nail art with this mani, so I added Zoya Dahlia with some starburst nail vinyls to outline the gorgeous glitter.
Holochondriac Polish can be purchased here, be sure to follow her on Instagram for coupon codes and gorgeous swatches!
*Disclosure* These polishes were provided to me at a blogger discount
Hey everyone! Sorry for the long break, work has been super busy! But I am back with some super easy breezy nail art for you! Today I have a couple polishes I have been meaning to show you. They are from the Elevation Polish / Girly Bits duo from back in July. I am slowly getting through my untried polishes except I keep getting more new ones and well, it's a vicious, sparkly circle!
Elevation's part in this duo is a gorgeous light brown holo with black flecks, called Arashiyama. I'm not a huge fan of neutral polishes, more the bright and shiny in your face colors, but this one is perfect as a neutral that's not boring.
Because I can't help myself, I added some right angle vinyls and added more of the Girly Bits contribution, a super sparkly micro glitter semi-textured holo called BamBoom! I found that it gives off the negative space vibe with a little something extra
This was a limited edition duo, so it's no longer available from Elevation or Girly Bits, but you can probably snag one or both polishes on the aftermarket.
Happy Friday! It seems like this week has been so slow, but finally here we are! I have a glitterlicious mani for you today.
I have a love/hate relationship with Facebook nail polish sales groups. I love finding great deals and lemmings I have pined after forever. But I also need to pay bills and save money and I hate seeing beauties slip away from me.
Luckily, I happened to catch a destash at the right time and snagged a major lemming, Rescue Beauty Lounge Scrangie (the original!) A purple lover's dream, packed with intense blue sparkle, It is so gorgeous even just in the bottle!! I also picked up my first Black Cat Lacquer, a glitter full of moons and stars called Where We're Going We Don't Need Roads! Together, they made my mani dreams come true!
Rescue Beauty Lounge can be purchased here.
Black Cat Lacquer can be purchased here.
Hello everyone! I can't believe it is September already, time sure flew by this summer. This week marks my 1 year blogiversary!
About 2 1/2 years ago, I was introduced to the indie polish world, and I have been obsessed ever since. 1 year ago, I decided to start my blog and Instagram. I thought I was too late to make an impact in the vast nail community. I have learned that there is room for everyone, and that my strange ideas have become sort of a trademark.
Hence, this post! A weird mind like mine sees a green glitter bomb holo, Glam Polish Polar Lights to be exact...
...and then says, "hey, why not add a maroon creme with red shimmer?" So that's what I did, using nail vinyls from TwinkledT, I added Dance Legend Cruciatus. And also rhinestones, because, SHINY!
It has been a great year, and I am so thankful for all the support and joy that the polish world has given me. I can't wait to see what happens next!
Glam Polish is an Australian indie that releases new collections way too fast lol, I have so many on my ISO - you can buy them here, and also here
Dance Legend is a Russian brand, you can purchase them here and here
TwinkledT vinyls are so fun and available here
It's mani Monday, and I've got some spectacular art to show you! Really easy art that you can do with minimal effort!
I recently joined a custom polish group on Facebook - which is incredibly dangerous for my wallet. BUT! The gorgeous polishes have thus far been incredible and well worth it. The first custom I received was from Fair Maiden, a dark periwinkle holo called Aloha Nights.
Another indie I love, Different Dimension, recently had an awesome sale and I snagged a gorgeous orchid holo, Whatever 2.0 I decided to mix the two into a stunning gradient!! And you know I had to add rhinestones because why not!
Doing a gradient looks hard, but it's not. You just need some cosmetic sponges/wedges (I grabbed a pack at the dollar store) and some Elmer's glue - I keep mine in an empty polish bottle so I can apply the glue easier.
Now I could try to get into the specifics, but really I decided to do this after seeing Nichole of Bedlam Beauty's fantastic tutorial video! It's really as easy as it looks, and it's pretty fool proof!! Watch it HERE!
The custom polish group is pretty awesome, if you want more details or are interested in joining, please contact me and I can get you more info!
Fair Maiden is quickly becoming another obsession of mine, they can be purchased here
Different Dimension always makes gorgeous polishes, they can be purchased here
Nichole's blog is awesome and will give you serious nail envy! Check her out here
My octopus, Ophelia, is from Creepy Kawaii, a Kickstarter I backed a few months ago - the store will be opening soon here
TGIT!!! One day closer to Friday! My favorite part of the weekend is sleeping in, I could sleep all day. I am really excited about this post because instead of blogging about HTF or long ago released polishes, I am going to show you THREE, yes THREE gorgeous polishes that you can preorder tomorrow!! I know that for some of us, our polish budgets were blown August 1, but if you can swing it, these three beauties are certainly worth your hard earned money.
Of course, it would be Octopus Party Nail Lacquer. My number one favorite indie polish, hands down. I am forever on a no or low buy, with the one exclusion being OPNL.
First up, a sort of Throwback Thursday, I give you Shore Fire. This is a previously released and coveted polish that has made a surprise return! It's notoriously impossible to accurately photograph, a pink and green multichrome dream, I now have two bottles of this polish because it is so amazing!
Next up, a brand new OPNL, Go Deep. Go Deep is an amazing dark blue linear holo, it dances on your nails. I have been staring at it for two days, wondering what to add to embellish it or make it better, but it doesn't need anything! It is perfect all on its own!
Last, but certainly not least, here is Under the Siege. An insanely gorgeous turquoise holo, it is blindingly beautiful. I decided to pair it with Picture Polish Paris, using vinyls by TwinkledT. You can see that it's so holo it freaked my camera out a bit.
If you've heard of OPNL and have wondered exactly how to get this elusive polish, it is your lucky day! Tomorrow, August 7, from 11am-2pm Eastern Time, you can preorder all three of these beauties here. Trust, you need OPNL in your life right now!!
Picture Polish is available here
TwinkledT vinyls are available here
My octopus ring is by nOir Jewelry - it is no longer available but they have lots of cute rings here
